FORGIVENESS POLICY

The Truth, Love & Freedom Tribe recognises forgiveness as a transformative act — not a dismissal, not an erasure, and not an invitation for harm to continue.
Forgiveness is a return to clarity, a release of weight, and a recognition of the humanity in ourselves and others.

This policy exists to guide how we approach forgiveness within this movement.

1. Forgiveness Is a Choice, Not an Obligation

No one is required to forgive before they are ready.
Forgiveness offered freely is powerful; forgiveness forced is another form of aggression.
Each person holds the right to move at their own pace.

2. Forgiveness Does Not Excuse Harm

We can forgive someone without condoning their behaviour.
We can release the emotional burden without abandoning accountability.
Forgiveness is internal; responsibility is external.

3. Forgiveness Restores Sovereignty

Holding onto resentment binds us to the past.
Letting go restores our freedom, our clarity, and our ability to act from truth rather than reaction.

4. Forgiveness Requires Honesty

We forgive with open eyes, not denial.
We acknowledge what happened, how it affected us, and what boundaries are needed moving forward.

5. Forgiveness Does Not Require Reconnection

You may forgive someone and still choose distance.
You may forgive and still maintain firm boundaries.
Forgiveness is an act of inner alignment, not a requirement to resume relationship.

6. We Welcome Those Who Awaken and Return

People change.
People grow.
People realise their mistakes and seek a different path.
When someone returns in sincerity — with accountability, humility, and a willingness to repair — we recognise that awakening is part of the human journey.

7. Forgiveness Aligns With Our Core Values

Truth allows us to see clearly.
Love allows us to release.
Freedom allows us to move forward.
Joy emerges when the weight is lifted.

Forgiveness is not weakness.
It is strength, clarity, and sovereignty in action.
It is the recognition that we are all learning, all evolving, and all capable of returning to the light.

By engaging with this movement, you honour both your own healing and the possibility of transformation in others.
